Youth Defence really have been busy in the last few days. Recently, eagle-eyed Twitter users have snapped pictures of poster campaigns being erected around the city.
People believed that it would be similar to their Summer billboard campaign and that any complaints would fail to make any difference. Others pointed out that the group might be getting around litter laws by having a brief message about an upcoming event at the bottom of their posters.
But according to Labour TD Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, this isn’t the case.
After contacting the Dublin City Council litter section, he confirms that Youth Defence did not request permission to erect the signs. It also means that DCC will be removing them.
