Eden, from French director Mia Hansen-Love (whose previous credits include Father of My Children and Goodbye First Love), centres around the underground music scene of the early 1990s. In it, we meet Paul, a youngster who, along with his closest friends, forms a cohort of DJs who attempt to live the ultimate party lifestyle. What awaits them is a world of sex, drugs and
rock ‘n’ roll garage-house music. This semi-biographical film depicts the rise of a specific style of music which would go on to be known as ‘French touch electronic’ which would later be made famous by the likes of Daft Punk and Cassius.
If this sounds like the kind of film that tickles your fancy, then you are in luck as we have 3 copies of Eden to give away on DVD thanks to the very nice folks at Metrodome. In order to stand a chance of winning, all you need to do is click about in the below Rafflecopter box. For an extra chance to win, just leave a comment under this post telling us who your favourite DJ is.
Please note that this competition is open to residents living in the Republic of Ireland and the UK only – all entrants must be 15-years-of-age or older.
Also, please note that this Eden film is not to be confused with the 2012 film about human sex trafficking of the same name or the 2015 film of the same name about the United States soccer team getting stranded on a tropical island, Lord of the Flies style, so don’t send me angry emails when you don’t get the film you were expecting in the mail because you were too lazy to read a short post or view an embedded trailer before you entered a competition (it’s happened before!).
